PEDIATRIC FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE · BELLEVUE, NE · IN PERSON + TELEHEALTH

Pediatric functional medicine in Bellevue, including the families Offutt brings here.

The labs came back normal. The pediatrician isn't concerned. And your home still doesn't feel calm. You've done everything right, and something is still being missed.

I'm Dr. Amy Patton. I help Bellevue families find what's actually driving their child's behavior, sleep, focus, and gut struggles, and build a plan that fits the life your family is really living. My West Omaha office is about 25 minutes from Bellevue, and every visit works by telehealth.

10+ years in pediatrics · 500+ families supported · Licensed in NE, IA, AZ, CO, TN & VA

- QUICK ANSWER

Is there a pediatric functional medicine provider near Bellevue?

Yes. Happy Kid Functional Medicine is about 25 minutes from Bellevue at 11320 Davenport Street in West Omaha. I'm Dr. Amy Patton, DNP. I see Bellevue and Offutt families in person or fully by telehealth, and because I'm licensed in six states, care can continue through a PCS to Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Tennessee, or Virginia.

RECOGNITION

Does this sound like your house?

You're not failing your child. You've shown up, pushed for answers, and tried the strategies. If any of this is your daily reality, something biological is likely being missed, and that's findable.

Zero to screaming in seconds

Meltdowns you can't predict or prevent, at home, at school, in the parking lot. You tread carefully all day and it still happens.

The ADHD meds haven't solved it

You did the evaluation and the prescription. Focus, impulsivity, and big emotions are still running the day.

Sleep that's been broken for years

Can't fall asleep, can't stay asleep, never wakes rested, and the whole house is paying for it.

Eating that keeps shrinking

A handful of safe foods, battles at every meal, and a quiet worry about nutrition nobody has taken seriously.

“Everything looks normal”

Labs fine. Growth chart fine. But you know your child, and your gut keeps telling you something is off. That instinct is worth listening to.

Things that helped… then didn't

Therapy, diets, supplements, sticker charts. Some helped a little. Nothing has created lasting change at home.

NO APPOINTMENT

Three things you can start tonight, free, no appointment needed

Whether or not we ever work together, you deserve to leave this page with something useful. These aren't treatments, they're ways to start seeing your child's patterns clearly, and they make any provider's job easier.

Check the poop, really

Stool is free data about the gut. Note how often your child goes and what it looks like for one week. If it's not most days and comfortable, that's a real clue, the body can't regulate what it can't eliminate.

Move wind-down 20 minutes earlier

Screens off, lights lower, something slow, twenty minutes earlier than usual. Overtired kids don't look sleepy; they look wired and unreasonable. A small shift here often pays off within days.

Put everything you've tried in one folder

Photograph every supplement bottle, medication, lab report, and evaluation into one album on your phone. Whoever helps your child next, me or anyone else, will see the full picture in minutes instead of months.

Behavior & Communication

Behavior isn't random. It's communication, and when we find what the body is trying to say, home starts to get quieter.

SERVING BELLEVUE

Bellevue families, including the ones the Air Force moves here.

Bellevue is Nebraska's oldest town and one of its biggest, and for thousands of families, it's home because Offutt Air Force Base is home. Military families carry something extra into a child's health struggles: every PCS means new providers, restarted referrals, records that don't follow, and starting the whole story over with someone new. If your child's file is thick and the answers are thin, that's not on you.

ON TRICARE
I'm out-of-network for everyone, including Tricare, and I'm honest about that up front. I provide superbills and documentation, and I'll never let you be surprised by a bill.

ON A PCS
Because I'm licensed in six states and my program runs fully by telehealth, a PCS doesn't have to mean starting over. Move to a state I'm licensed in, and care continues without missing a step.

HOW I HELP

The Missing Piece Method™

Reveal

Map your child's full timeline, back to before the diagnosis, and run testing that actually explains what's happening inside their body: gut analysis, nutrient status, genomics when truly indicated.

Rebuild

Lab results meet your lived observations. I explain, in plain language, exactly why what's happening inside your child is showing up as zero-to-screaming meltdowns, broken sleep, and days that fall apart by dinner.

Rewire

A personalized plan built around the life your family is actually living, not a template, not a generic supplement list. And I stay in it with you all the way through.

The 6-month program, in plain terms

For parents who've tried everything and want one provider to stay in the room until things actually change:

  • 4 structured visits with me, in person in West Omaha or virtual

  • Functional lab testing ordered and reviewed in plain language

  • Weekly curriculum: one short lesson, one concrete action step

  • Private messaging access to me between every visit

  • A personalized protocol that adjusts as your child responds

  • A graduation plan so what we build actually holds

MONEY, HONESTLY

What this costs, and every way I help you manage it

You've probably already spent more than you want to add up, copays, specialists, supplements guessed at from the internet. So let me be more transparent about money than most practices are willing to be.

I'm out-of-network, on purpose

That's what buys your child 60–90 minute visits instead of 10, and testing chosen for them rather than for a billing code. I share exact program numbers on your free call, before you commit to anything.

HSA/FSA, payment plans, and phased testing

Visits and labs are often HSA/FSA-eligible. I offer payment plans, and I build testing in phases so you only ever pay for what your child truly needs, never a bundle for the sake of a bundle.

Superbills & letters of medical necessity

I provide superbills many families successfully submit to private insurance for partial out-of-network reimbursement, plus letters of medical necessity to strengthen claims and unlock HSA/FSA eligibility.

The honest limits

Medicaid and government plans don't reimburse out-of-network care. I'd rather tell you that here than surprise you later. If cost is the barrier, ask me about grant resources for families pursuing integrative care. I'll help you try.

NOT READY TO BOOK A CALL?

Tell me about your child instead.

Some parents want to talk. Others want to type it out at 11pm after the house is finally quiet. Both are welcome here.

Bellevue families: Tell me what's been happening and I'll personally reach out within one business day with an honest take on whether I can help, and what I'd look at first.

What's your child's main challenge?

Your information is private and never shared. I'll reach out within 1 business day.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING

“For always having an answer that puts my whole family at ease. I am forever grateful for every single text or call, truly, I use the texts as references. A real-life text encyclopedia.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Amy Patton, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC

Pediatric nurse practitioner and founder of Happy Kid Functional Medicine

I'm a pediatric nurse practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience and the founder of Happy Kid Functional Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. I spent years in primary care and developmental specialty clinics watching families fall through the cracks, told to give it more time, try the therapy longer, accept a new normal they never signed up for.

I built this practice to be the provider those families deserved. I trained and certified in functional medicine, I am always seeking out what is new and proven, and I provide root-cause, whole-child care for children with complex neurodevelopmental and chronic conditions, working alongside your existing pediatric and specialist team.

LAST WORDS

Smiling woman in office setting.

The most common thing I hear around week six: “I feel like I have my kid back.

That's where we start, and it keeps getting better from there. The first call is free, confidential, and completely without pressure. Fifteen minutes, and you'll know your next step either way.

With you in this, Amy
