Natural Sleep Support for Kids
When your child canʼt fall asleep, keeps waking at night, or lies in bed with a racing mind, itʼs exhausting for the whole family — and itʼs easy to feel like youʼve tried everything. Hereʼs what I want you to know: a child who isnʼt sleeping isnʼt simply a “bad sleeper.” Thereʼs always a reason, and we can find it.

THE REASON UNDERNEATH
Why won't my child sleep?
A child who can't sleep almost always has an underlying reason — and it's rarely just "not being tired." Sleep is a signal. When we listen to it, it points us toward what your child's body actually needs
Gut imbalances
Where most serotonin and melatonin are made.
Stress & cortisol
A nervous system that won't downshift at night.
Cortisol dysregulation
The stress hormone spiking at bedtime.
Food sensitivities
Unidentified triggers keeping the body wired.
Nutrient gaps
Magnesium, iron, and other quiet deficits.
Light & screens
Evening exposure that scrambles sleep signals.
WHY IT MATTERS
Poor sleep ripples into everything else
Poor sleep doesn't stay in the bedroom. When children don't get the sleep they need, we tend to see more inattentiveness, more opposition, more hyperactivity, low mood, and foggy, slowed-down thinking. Research backs this up — short sleep in kids is linked to attention and behavior problems and higher risk for depression.
There's also a gut connection: even brief sleep loss can shift the gut microbiome, which is where the body makes most of its serotonin and melatonin. That's how a tired kid becomes a stuck cycle — and it's exactly the cycle we work to break.
Attention
Focus & follow-through slip
Mood
Irritability, low mood, tears

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
What natural sleep support actually looks like.
Real, lasting sleep support is built in layers — foundations first, targeted tools second, always matched to your child.
01
Foundations
Light, environment, movement, a consistent multi-sensory bedtime routine, smart napping, and awareness of hidden disruptors. Families learn a simple framework called LEARNS.
02
Gentle, targeted tools
Options like magnesium, an evening Epsom salt bath, calming herbal teas, lavender, and — matched to the specific pattern — supports for a racing mind, night-waking, or cortisol that won't settle.
03
Root-cause work
Assessing the gut, stress and cortisol patterns, nutrient status, and food triggers so your child can make and use their own sleep signals.

A CLOSER LOOK
When it's time for more than sleep hygiene.
Occasional rough nights are normal — especially during growth spurts, illness, or stress. But some patterns deserve a closer look. Reach out when:
Sleep coaching can absolutely help — but only after the underlying biology is addressed. You can't coach a nervous system into sleeping when the gut is inflamed or cortisol is dysregulated. We fix the biology first, so the rest can finally work.
01. Sleep problems persist despite good habits
02. Snoring with gasping or pauses in breathing
03. Excessive daytime sleepiness
04. Unusual nighttime movements or behaviors
05. Sleep problems paired with behavior changes
06. Trouble functioning at school
07. Ongoing reliance on melatonin
08. Sleep changes after a new medication
